Our next Australian VLab Centre of Excellence Regional Focus Group meeting is scheduled for 02UTC, 22nd July 2025.

Topics of discussion are as follows:

  • Using CIMSS Tools to Explore the Lewotobi Eruption, Indonesia: Timothy Wagner, Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies, Space Science and Engineering Centre (SSEC) / University of Wisconsin Madison.
  • Preparations for Himawari-10. Investigating the 1.38-micron "Cirrus" band with regional examples: Bodo Zeschke, Australian Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre.
  • Information about the 15th Asia Oceania Meteorological Satellite User Conference (AOMSUC-15) and the 2025 FENGYUN Satellite User Conference (FYSUC-2025): Liu Chang, National Satellite Meteorological Center, China Meteorological Administration.
