Next Australian VLab CoE Regional Focus Group meeting, 22 January 2026

The next Australian VLab CoE RFG meeting is scheduled for 02UTC 22 January 2026

Topics of discussion are as follows:

• Application of SAR, scatterometry, and microwave imagery during Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina, November 2025: presented by Joe Courtney, Bureau of Meteorology, Perth.
• High winds prevent a Hawaiian Airlines flight to Pago Pago from landing: presented by Jordan Gerth NOAA/NESDIS
• A summary of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Satellite Meteorology as presented at Australian VLab CoE Regional Focus Group meetings during 2025: presented by Bodo Zeschke, Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre.
