Big Blue Button Remote Conferencing Instructions

The Australian VLab Centre of Excellence is now hosting monthly Regional Focus Group (RFG) meetings.

This Weather and Forecast Discussion will be coordinated by Bodo Zeschke. All are welcome to attend.

As for all VLab RFG sessions, attendance is free of charge. The Big Blue Button conferencing software will be used. Recordings of past Regional Focus Group meetings and information about coming meetings are on the Regional Focus Group Recordings web page

Attendees will need headphone and microphone.

System Requirements for participating in the Big Blue Button session are given below.

To register please follow the instructions below:

  1. The session homepage is at https://learn.bom.gov.au/mod/bigbluebuttonbn/view.php?id=13874
  2. You can join the session either as a guest or as a registered user. We would prefer you to join as a registered user. There is no cost associated with this.
  1. For guest users the session password is VLab@2020
  2. For users who choose to join the session as a registered user for the first time, please use the link https://learn.bom.gov.au/login/signup.php to create an account. Please include your details including Country of Origin. After signing up you will receive an automated email with a link to confirm your registration within about 15 minutes. If you have not received the confirmation email within this time, check your spam/junk inbox. If there is no confirmation within your spam/junk inbox, contact moodle@bom.gov.au giving their name and email address, stating they had not received their site registration confirmation email for our training site.
  3. For users who have already registered, please click "Continue" on the Self enrolment (Student) option. Log in using the above Username and Password. If you have forgotten the password then you can use the 'forgot password' function: https://learn.bom.gov.au/login/forgot_password.php
  4. Australian Bureau of Meteorology staff please use the 'Bureau staff log in' button to log in to the site.

Please use either the Google Chrome or Modzilla Firefox web browsers when you join the session.
